What is SlothMD?

SlothMD is a virtual health companion designed to take care of your health and provide you with actionable insights and reminders, making your health and wellness journey a lot easier. Whether you’re checking a symptom or organizing medical files, SlothMD helps take care of it. And because SlothMD is a direct-to-consumer service (not run by a hospital or insurer), it’s focused on helping you first.

What can SlothMD do for you?

SlothMD combines many health tools into one place. Here are some things it can do:

  • Autonomously monitors your health: no more digging through confusing graphs or guessing what's next. SlothMD tracks your health for you, letting you know when something needs attention or suggesting helpful tweaks.

  • Check symptoms and answer questions: If you feel sick or have a worrisome symptom, you can ask SlothMD instead of Googling. It uses its medical knowledge and your full health records (with your permission) to suggest possible causes and whether you should see a doctor. You get quick, clear answers any time.

  • Find doctors or clinics fast: Need a specialist or urgent care? SlothMD can quickly search nearby providers that take your insurance. It will find the nearest in-network ER or doctor’s office in seconds.

  • Explain insurance and costs: No one likes surprise bills. You can ask, “Does my plan cover this test?”, and SlothMD will break down the answer. It lets you know what’s covered before you book an appointment.

  • Organize your health records: Connect your health accounts (portals, labs, fitness trackers) or upload documents, and SlothMD securely organizes it all for you. Your records are summarized and easy to access in one place.

  • Track wellness and motivate you: SlothMD also helps with everyday wellness. It can remind you to take medications or exercise. It even turns healthy living into a game; take on challenges and earn rewards for good habits.

How to get started

SlothMD is currently in a closed beta. You can join the waitlist on the SlothMD website to request access. Once you’re invited, getting started is simple:

  • Use it via app or text: Download the SlothMD mobile app to chat with your AI health assistant. If you prefer texting, you can also send questions via text message and get answers without even opening the app.

  • Availability and privacy: There will be a free version for everyone and an optional low-cost premium plan for unlimited requests. All your data is encrypted and private.

SlothMD is on the way to making healthcare simpler and stress-free. By having an AI healthcare assistant at your side, you’ll spend less time worrying and more time living your life. You can relax knowing SlothMD has things handled.
